Cantabile is an auditioned choir, created to serve singers who wish to do a variety of interesting, predominantly sacred, historic repertoire; everything from madrigals to cantatas, a cappella works to large choral works with instrumental ensembles.
Suzanne Wolvin, M.M.E., B.A. in Music
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Music at Old Dominion University, followed by a Master of Music Education with an emphasis in
choral conducting.
I am an adjunct professor of music (music history, appreciation, applied voice, class piano, theory, sight singing) at
Tidewater Community College, teaching at the Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth campuses. I have taught piano and voice privately for over 3 decades to all ages, I teach at Music and Arts,
and have been Music Director at two local churches-- one liturgical, the other contemporary. I sing soprano with the
Virginia Symphony Chorus, and have studied with Katherine Lakoski and Robynne Redmon. Fall of 2023 I started an auditioned, community choir called Cantabile. I take great joy in helping my students grow
to their highest potential, and I love spending time with my husband, all of our adult children, and our 7
adorable grandchildren.
